Doing hibachi for dinner. Got seated with the most demanding, absurd family. Parents + 2 adult children. Daughter "can't" do garlic or cooked vegetables. Dad needed extra dry martini with a specific gin. Son is a therapist. Trying really hard to keep my eyes from rolling into the back of my head

For a v long time, I conflated "person who can make good art" with "person who has a functioning moral compass." I think that transference (based on appreciation, love, enthusiasm) is something a lot of us do. It hurts a lot when we find that our appreciation was hijacked so someone can do bad shit.
