Visiting Seattle next month. It is one of the places I'm considering moving to, and have heard phenomenal things from plenty of people about it. Now I just need a job with the flexibility to support such a move. If not Seattle, then probably Chicago. But I'm hoping the visit to Seattle goes well.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

FFXIV's lore and story are great, for the most part, but I'm pretty sure the devs for the game don't have an accurate concept of time. MSQ has definitely taken longer than they've claimed (even just accounting for travel time), and let's not even begin to discuss the age of various characters.

Obviously, being laid off is *not* a reflection of my character.
