If Peter Thiel appeared in public with horns and a tail in cloven hooves for feet, preaching about the antichrist and spearing individuals in public, the news media would still calmly report his latest speech.

I’m so fucking tired of the Big Hammer making companies screaming about how dangerous their hammers are while hitting people in the head with their hammers, bawling about how there’s a 10% chance that every fucking human will have been killed by a big hammer in the next 10 years, and smashing […]

This is one of the funniest Pebble watch faces I've seen :wlfWoozy:
The "what a week huh, Captain it's Wednesday" meme adapted as a Pebble watch face, so that it says the current day, and also shows the time, temperature, and steps

Hee hee you can tell I’m a bit of a weird music wanker because I just cued up all of Briqueville’s 4 albums and am listening in order of course. I don’t necessarily recommend this play order of course, I think album 3 ‘Quelle’, which is Akte VIII to Akte XV is […] [Original post on aus.social]
A screenshot of a PlexAmp playlist queue - 3 (of 4) album covers are visible of the Belgian (?) experimental instrumental metal band Briqueville. The songs are all just Roman numerals starting at II (because I is playing) and going from album to album in sequence. After the first album they at least start calling the tracks Akte V, Akte VI and so forth.

“The Greatest Bane” by the Ocean collective is over 20 years old but the lyrics hold true. It opens with: — We are divine. We are divine. Deities of the modern age. The sentinels of humanity's cage. — and eventually gets to: — Your children work for us eight hours a day. We know that we give […]

Morning kayaking tour along Tingalpa creek, dodging the competitive kayak and SUP people doing an event we didn’t know was happening 😝 We don’t own real kayaks, but portable blow-up SUPs with kayak seats and kayak paddles are a very affordable and above all easily transportable option.
Weird middle-age ish guy in a red shirt and hat and sunglasses looking at the camera (obviously taking a selfie). There is a brown river and a background of low mangrove trees on the far bank. In the bottom left the yellow scoop of a kayak paddle is visible. It’s me!

A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.
