I believe I've found the first Israel Moment™ on record.

Excerpt from Tessler's 'A History of The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict' 2nd. ed. p. 248. (Summarizing due to space limitations.)

This text details an incident in Nov. 1940 where Britain intercepted 2 ships carrying 1,700 Jewish refugees in Haifa and wanted to force them to go to Mauritius instead because they figured allowing further illegal Jewish immigration would "prove a serious menace to British interest in the Middle East." The Hagana (at this point a Jewish paramilitary) wanted to force the issue by sabotaging the ships' engines and preventing them from leaving, but miscalculated and destroyed one of the ships. This killed 240 refugees and 10 policemen. The Yishuv government (the Jewish Agency for Israel) "declared that the sinking of the ship had been an act of mass suicide on the part of the refugees on board, designed to protest Britain's odious policy."

The Classical Style especially assumes you're reading it in a music appreciation room with a bookshelf that lets you into the dungeon if you play a Ab7b9#5 on a centrally located piano. That's more of a goal for me then how things are right now.

This is a highly technical (to me) paragraph about haydn's symphony no. 46 in B major, with two embedded scores. If you can't play sheet music in your head it makes no sense. The author delights (as do I) in the word "cancrizan," which basically means a musical palindrome, but admits that the reader might not know about it.
