Last year, Emily Marris started a new medication for chronic hip pain that could pass through breastmilk. She needed to find an alternative for her 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn. In a Facebook group run by her chiropractor, she saw one of his posts, which made her curious about raw milk.
Facebook post by Chris Boman, dated January 8, 2025. The post features a photo of a small black fridge with a transparent door, filled with gallons of milk. The post caption includes: "I have 4 gallons of A2A2 Jersey milk. Alf alfa fed only, no grain. $16 a gallon. The cream is a little lighter, we didn't skim it she is just holding back for her twins. Pick up at Trailhead Family Chiropractic in Murrieta. Venmo or Cash."

Maybe I'm missing something, but I still don't get this. Schmitt was saying Smith went to a Hawks game. His evidence was texts that mention "Jack" but not from Smith (and the Hawks does not have a 109 row). Yes, Smith went to a Hawkeyes game, but Schmitt did not present any evidence of that.

After Eric Schmitt lied and was corrected at the Jack Smith hearing, the NY Times called it a “misunderstanding.” This might be fair if Schmitt had a record of honesty (he doesn’t) and if Schmitt didn’t repeat the same lie after the hearing (he did). What the hell is the NY Times doing?
Devlin Barrett and Charlie Savage
Reporting from Washington
Jack Smith, who as special counsel twice charged Donald J. Trump with criminal offenses after his first term, defended his actions in testimony before Congress on Tuesday, as a Republican senator accused him of perjury based on what appeared to be the lawmaker’s misunderstanding about a basketball game involving the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.

Just a reminder that this is the same Sen. Schmitt who repeatedly claimed that Chief Judge Boasberg was receiving a disproportionate share of Trump-related cases because he confused the D.C. Superior Court (which has 62 judges) with the D.C. district court (which has 15).

Public Citizen urges the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and broadcasters individually, to end airing recent campaign commercials by President Trump and the White House that appear to be in breach of federal law. At least three campaign ads, paid for by taxpayer dollars, appear to violate the federal law against using taxpayer funds to finance propaganda (5 U.S.C. §3107) and related provisions of the appropriations laws as well as the Hatch Act (5 U.S.C. §7324).

NEW: Trump's lawyers filed their Eleventh Circuit brief fighting the sanctions order in Trump v. IRS tonight. Background: www.lawdork.com/p/trump-irs-... The best way I can describe the brief is showing you their statement regarding whether they believe the court should hold oral arguments:
STATEMENT REGARDING ORAL ARGUMENT
Appellants respectfully request oral argument. This appeal presents substantial questions concerning Article Ill adversity and the limits of the district
court's sanctions authority. In this case, the court erroneously imposed (i) an unprecedented and unconstitutional restriction on the speech of the sitting President of the United States, as well as other government officials, and private persons, in every official forum in the country, and (ii) career-altering sanctions on the President's attorneys for advocating a legitimate legal position with which the court
simply disagreed. Even worse, the district court did so without a show-cause order,
a hearing, or individualized findings. Oral argument will assist the Court in
resolving these important constitutional and procedural questions.

This may be felony criminal theft and conversion of government property for political campaign purposes. 18 U.S.C. § 1641. It is a Hatch Act violation for any government employees who worked on it or used government resources to make it. It is blatantly unethical under numerous federal ethics provisions proscribing the use of government resources for political campaigns.

Trump now argues that “his supporters will be deterred from contributing to the [Kennedy] Center if his name is removed.” This is the good stuff: pure, unadulterated horseshit.
Plaintiff's alleged harms pale in comparison to the real harms on the other
side of the ledger. For one, the absence of a recognition to President Trump
threatens to impede the Center's fundraising efforts and contribute to the financial decline of the Center. As the Center's Executive Director explained, the President has been a central force in the Center's current fundraising efforts,
but his supporters will be deterred from contributing to the Center if his name is removed. See ECF No. 47-1 at 2. This loss of fundraising time and potential is also definitionally irreparable, and the public interest weighs in favor of an
economically viable Center.
Again, the district court erred in concluding

KBJ is this close 🤏🏾 to referring to Chief Justice John Roberts as Chief Justice Save-A-Ho ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/ketan...
screenshot of two paragraphs excerpted from the linked article. excerpt reads as follows:

At a public appearance in March 2026, Jackson attributed the spike to a corresponding “uptick” in “the court’s willingness to get involved.” Indeed, the Court has granted more than 70 percent of the administration’s requests. In her speech on Thursday, Jackson talked about what those grants look like in practice. She specifically highlighted the Court’s shadow docket orders allowing Trump to slash the Department of Education’s workforce, cancel hundreds of millions of dollars in government grants, and, as she put it, authorize “roving ICE patrols to conduct race-based searches and seizures of Latino residents in Los Angeles.”

With these grim examples, Jackson illustrated how transforming the emergency docket into a “special avenue that certain privileged litigants can use selectively” puts people in danger, and compromises both the functioning of the judiciary and the Court’s credibility with the public. And in Friday’s dissent, she similarly rejected the idea that the government is injured and requires emergency response services from the Supreme Court “whenever it is prevented from violating the law.”
