FL, TX, and KS are states I avoid as much as possible. I gave up my decades-long streak of annual attendance to the International Quilt Festival in Houston. I drive thru KS stopping only to pee. I've had to go to FL twice in 5 years (wedding + retirement) but skipped all other in-law visits.
