Which doesn't mean there aren't plenty of awful people who would happily support every awful policy quietly. They're just not willing to say it in the light of day with their whole chests. Social pressures still count for something.

It's a natural outgrowth, I suppose, of a party that's swinging hard into policies that are deliberately malicious, cruel and corrupt. The pool of people willing to publicly make themselves the face of such policies gets shallow fast.

Among our Halloween decorations is a thrift store find The Missus brought home that is clearly just gender-swapped, time-traveling Jeff Goldblum.

A shelf of Halloween decorations, including candles, a crow snow globe, some mounted beetles….

And a framed old timey photo of a woman who clearly shares 99.9% of her DNA with Jeff Goldblum. Given her expression this is clearly tragic for her. But it’s delightful for our holiday vibes.
