Flight back from Lithuania was delayed, so I missed my connection. Was re-booked on a flight via Frankfurt (also via Copenhagen), and now I have no idea which timezone I’m in but almost certain it’s bedtime.

Gonna keep things low-effort at home in some attempt to maintain balance over winter. No big adventures for a little while please - very tired and just enjoying having achieved my teenage goal of living and working in Japan. Even coming home last year, it’s only now that it feels over.

Was so good catching up with old colleagues. You’re always looking out for me. The Colorkrew team especially are such a socially outgoing and friendly group. I’m grateful to all of you, but thanks especially to Kiyo - who effectively supported my whole visa process, and brought me to Tokyo!

Chuo city office were patient during my multiple trips as part of my move out procedure. Japanese bureaucracy has always felt kind and efficient in my experience. I’m officially no longer a resident! Tax is paid up and pension rebate process has begun. Grateful for all their help and advice. 🙇🏻‍♂️

Almost back in Scotland. A blessing and a curse to have wifi the entire journey (except over India - what gives?). Had an amazing time in Japan, even through the constant heavy rain. Those 2 or 3 days where I could see the sunset were beautiful too. I genuinely appreciated it.

Combined with Figma Make and Buzz, this dwarfs Canva's features too. Though the complexity likely raises the barrier to entry. Will be interested to see how/if this is something they tackle beyond tutorial videos.

At Config, Figma have already introduced: 🔸 Live code 🔸 Shaders 🔸 Animation 🔸 3D Layers Feels like they're taking on After Effects this time round. I'm impressed with what they've shown, but appreciate it'll take time to learn too.
