Flight back from Lithuania was delayed, so I missed my connection. Was re-booked on a flight via Frankfurt (also via Copenhagen), and now I have no idea which timezone I’m in but almost certain it’s bedtime.

Almost back in Scotland. A blessing and a curse to have wifi the entire journey (except over India - what gives?). Had an amazing time in Japan, even through the constant heavy rain. Those 2 or 3 days where I could see the sunset were beautiful too. I genuinely appreciated it.

So that’s my visa surrendered, my tax paid and my pension rebate requested. When I fly back, it’s over - and without any regrets. I lived out the dream of 17 year old me. Let’s see whats next.

Welp, that's the Dr. Stone animated series finished. Listening to "Good Morning World!" and saying goodbye to the stone world in the ending credits montage. Great alt-shonen science power levelling series. Would recommend!

You’d think for a guy who was pulling weeds and shovelling dirt all day in the sun, I’d be more tired by 2am

Before and after. Another section of the garden (hopefully) transformed to require less maintenance. I am le tired.

A 2024 Japan Tourism Agency survey found that 11.8% of inbound visitors cited anime or film locations as a reason for travel. The practice, called seichi junrei or pilgrimage to sacred places, now sits inside a 700 billion yen otaku market driving regional branding strategy.

It occurs to me, I really should go back and finish watching (or at least reading) Naruto at some point. It's no One Piece, but it was my first Shonen series. Kinda did it dirty to drop it so late in the story.

For All Mankind is a pretty good show, and I've followed since it first *launched* (there wasn't much to watch on Apple TV back then). Given that it's set over several decades, characters come and go. This week's ep might tug the heartstrings of anyone that's been invested since the first ep.
