Finally got past the point in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment where I quit playing as a teenager (about 2/3rds through now), and I'm kinda surprised by how weirdly paced it is. There's so much going from point A to point B without much narrative propulsion.

"Slop" implies that something has been hastily made, or rather that it's created haphazardly by an over reliance on AI. These three examples are proof of the opposite, that people used to make things themselves, sometimes imperfectly, and that AI has deemed those skills gatekeepers.

Can't stop thinking about how younger generations seem to create new history for eras they weren't adults for and lack the proper context for. Blogs were quite popular, podcasts were a niche interest, and wiki has always been a useful tool that you still can't directly cite as a source.

The thing I fundamentally cannot grasp about AI -- and maybe it's just a symptom of being firmly Middle Aged -- is that it is simply irrelevant to my day to day life. How/why do people get addicted to it. Now that everything is AI that works poorly, I've cut down on my phone use. It's great!
