Automation is here to stay in the kitchen & restaurants. The real question is how much will each of us allow it to prepare our food & at what cost. My gut tells me for the foreseeable future those of us who can afford the time and money will seek out quality ingredients and accomplished cooks.

Spent some time this morning drawing a raven. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Actually Arkansas has a modified online system that was approved by the AR Supreme Court. You can fill out the application online and the receiving organization then prints it and submits it for you. See red QR Code on the left.

The U.S. averages about 7 human cases of plague per year, mostly in rural western states and fatalities are rare. While 5 have died with measles in Pennsylvania this year. The MMR vaccine should be our top priority not what is happening in secretive Russia with very confusing news about the plague.

Immature rufous hummingbird has landed on a twig with its wings behind it. It is perched on a spider flower plant with red flowers and bright green pinnate leaves. Based on vocalizations, and images of the tail feathers it is not an Allen’s which are very rare in our inland area.

Temperatures finally not in the 90s today and going forward. So out to the garden I go to plant some cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and Bok choy. Next come the seeds for dill, parsley, lettuce, snow peas, and some green beans. My first fall garden.
