Because YOU dont see any value in factories, farms or physical skilled labor. I grew up on a farm, i have worked in factories, and I have had desk jobs. Been to school,own my own business but I still see that those jobs are worth something. You have a great day in superiority land.

My daughter has a college degree she prefers her restoration job. She can drive through her city and point to what she built. Preserving history with manual labor.

But why do you feel it isn't? We used to make a ton of things in this country. Then the rich decided it was better to move it to a cheaper country and put people out of work. Then they took the service jobs like call centers and moved those too for cheaper labor. THAT is the problem.

I am education and I enjoyed working in a factory. I enjoyed making things with my own two hands instead of sitting behind a desk making millionaires richer and office politics like high school. You know what else is good? Those trick or treat books they sell for $1. There are like 10 coupons for free food in there for a buck. They also sell them at Christmas. You can buy a bunch of those and give them a whole book. Its for small stuff like a cheeseburger or a small fry but appreciated.
