Well, the specs have been released on the Zeekr 7X! It starts at $57,990 AUD, is loaded with tech (including V2L) and charges in 13 minutes! And that's just the entry level one! Video coming tomorrow with estimated NZD prices. Should be good. 😁

Most nickel is used for stainless steel. According to this chart, 15% is used for batteries. An estimated 80% of that is used for EVs, so about 12%. (LFP not inc in nickel share here is about half that of EVs with nickel chem) - links to follow

100%. Elon wasn’t a consideration in our choice to buy a Tesla (6yrs ago now). We don’t plan on selling, I don’t give a fcuk about Elon, but I’m not going to get rid of a good product I enjoy just to spite one person. I’m only hurting myself doing that.

China is the largest auto market in the world. Twice the size of the US auto market and roughly a third of total global sales. And now only half its new sales are internal combustion. But we are still told this won't have a big impact on long-term oil consumption. Ok. Sure.

Of the two EVs announced today... Mazda6e: approx. 5m long with 330 litre boot. BYD ATTO 2: 4.3m long with 400 litre boot. That's a small boot for a big car. The ICE Mazda6 is 480-litre! Obviously that's comparing one metric, but which would most families deem more practical?
