Agree with your points on casual fans. Though one thing I find very useful about modern streaming: the ability to restart a live game. I usually miss the start due to kids bedtimes, it's amazing to be able to rewind and start watching whenever I'm ready (and you get to skip through commercials)

The pipeline will be operated by a new company jointly owned by the Canadian and Alberta governments, along with Pembina Pipeline Corp. holding an initial 10% stake with an option to increase that to 20%. A further 10% ownership, at minimum, will be offered for purchase to Indigenous groups.

I....don't know what prompted this from the president today, but StatCan reported JUST this morning that in the past year, Canada experienced its slowest population growth since 1916. The country's population is essentially stalled right now.

This wasn't specified in the statement last night, but Canada did add new counter-tariffs on the US to replace the fish and seafood tariffs it removed. The new 50% tariffs will hit copper wire, wood charcoal, and a handful of other items such as plaster tiles and printed photos.

For once Trump is actually using a roughly accurate figure for the goods trade deficit between Canada and the US, but wrongly attributes it to farm products. The deficit is due to the US buying Canadian oil.

Note that in 2017, and as recently as last year, a 25% US tariff on steel was enough for Canada to launch major trade retaliation against the US. Now it seems that may be the new normal (or at least for the next 2.5 years)
