Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 28/09/2026Yes. I'm not keen on it as a drink, and it makes me voraciously hungry for pancakes. 110

Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 27/09/2026And I just discovered by biting into one that my breakfast sausage is something unexpected. These are "brown sugar & honey" flavoured IMPOSTER breakfast sausages, not the plain & unflavoured ones I had expected. FML. 7210
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 27/09/2026Well, that was fun. 😑 A can of Coke Zero fell out of the fridge, then developed a line of pinhole leaks across one side. It then rocket-propelled itself across the kitchen, spraying Coke onto me and every available surface. This day is not starting well. 226151034
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 24/09/2026The sun is trying to kill me. The joke is on it though: the sun will be gone in 10 billion years, but I plan to still be here. 😆 Honestly, I've already had one skin cancer removed this year so I'm happy to stay fish-belly white. 010

Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 21/09/2026Just paid an installment of property tax on our house. I get the necessity of paying taxes and we do get platinum services for our money, but that's 750 medium chocolate sundaes I now can't buy self-indulgently. 💸static.klipy.comHelp Me, I'm PoorALT: Help Me, I'm Poor 4250

Reposted by Pissed Off CanadianChristian Maddock @crispypancakeroll.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Last week, I managed to reach £55/200, but all of that has now been spent and I have a couple of overdue bills that I really need to pay to avoid my internet and phone being cut off, plus some more for milk and something to go with the mashed potato I have in my fridge. Can anyone help? 202

Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 04/09/2026Making the mail system unworkable for the election is kinda the point though. 010
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026Exactly. He's asked me not to make it quite so obvious, but he understands I'm in retirement countdown mode & wishes we could swap places. 240
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026I was just reminded: I plan to retire one year from today. I may push out the actual date to Dec 31, 2027, if work projects require it, but the working goal currently is Sept 1. 3520
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026I've finished diversifying my retirement accounts away from AI bubble companies & their related suppliers. The entire AI industry may now go to hell at its earliest convenience. 0250
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026Gods, yes! Having to individually tell each app to shut the hell up is beyond annoying. 100
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026The gym was closed again today, with a new sign on the door lacking any re-opening date. I. Am. Very. Disappointed. 1170
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026My saving grace is that I'm migrating at convenience, as opposed to replacing a lost or broken phone. I can still use the old one for MFA as long as needed, it's just inconvenient. 120
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026Anyway, I have servers to rebuild so I should get on with that. BTW, my boss says he suspects I've mentally checked out of work. Apparently the give-away was me literally putting "Brian Actively Procrastinating" as a task into the project plan, pushing the finish line out by two weeks. Huh. 1100
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026Fortunately, the new otterbox arrives today. This hell device has been living dangerously since Saturday, and both its nerves & mine are shot from the numerous near-death experiences. Srsly, who decided mobile phones and concrete surfaces could coexist in this timeline?! 160
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026This stupid fragile electronic device has deeply insinuated itself into my life. You'd think something this important would have grip surfaces, but nope, it's like holding a greasy ferret: one moment of distraction and it's gone. Raw-dogging a mobile phone never ends well. 160
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026Just today, I've finished the real headaches: I had to manually redo all Bluetooth pairings, Google Pay configs, work-related MFA apps, etc.. I look forward to retiring so I can ditch Okta, Duo, Slack, Jira, PagerDuty & Outlook entirely. 3110
Pissed Off Canadian @brianjarvis.com · 01/09/2026Migtrating my Google account & data was easy: it just took a half-hour to copy all my accounts, pics, txt messages, and apps. I need to re-login/re-auth on each app though, but the critical ones are completed: Bsky, Uber, Lyft, Chipotle. You know, the ones you need in an emergency. 160
