This needs to read that the violent, abusive manager continues in their job instead of being fired. JFC.

In 1974, Cornell lecturer Lin Farley began recognizing a pattern in the experiences women shared in her Women and Work course: women were being pushed out of jobs by men’s sexual behavior. Farley coined the term, “sexual harassment.”

I am in rural west central IL. Less than 10 miles from my house are 2 cameras, one on a busy highway, another in the middle of what I lovingly call podunk nowhere on a blacktop road, at least 20 miles from the nearest little big town. Why if not for surveillance by local sheriffs?

THIS. The dumb fuckery we're living through right now is insane. Far too many people are far too trusting of gov. officials and others. It's more than just "people are bigoted and racist," it's that they accept being told they should be!

They both are vastly underrated. Bill will be 78 this December and still putting out albums! Most Americans don't know Be Bop as they didn't catch on over here in the '70s and Bill solo was overlooked completely. Worked at a record store in the late '80s, Love That Whirls was in the cut out bin.

I am too. Bobcats are larger than house cats. It looks a bit too small, even wet, to be a real bobcat that would bite that hand.

Got out before 9am to cut down the insane amount of Wright's jimson weed falling onto my solarized thicket. I need to take up the plastic this week and get planting. Have 10 1 gallon pots of little bluestem to start. Found a tomato horn worm near to pupate and 1 wasp infested. #nativeplants

The official Paramount site for licensed Trek items is sad, tbh. I'm an elder fan and I just want a decent T of the Next Gen crew and/or the Enterprise D. Not sure why I have to go to Hot Topic or Amazon to find such a thing. Should be available via official site.

Old Testament believers only. Sincerely. I'm not religious nor a bible reader and even I know the difference between the Old and New Testaments. And there's a reason the New Testament was written. Jesus showed a better way and someone wrote it down.

Mr. Young Hawk is still in the oak tree this morning. I moved my feeders to a different tree and only put one of each out. Poor bluejays are up in wings. He has to be hunting because he's low in the tree and can easily watch where I usually put the feeders.

Fortunately this young red-tailed hawk flew over to a nearby tree when I got out of my car. It’s been hanging around since last night and this morning it was grounded because we’d had heavy rain overnight. I was prepared to catch it and take to a local raptor rehab place tomorrow if still grounded.

The surveillance state is here, or has been, it's just gotten more aggressive. I live 30 miles from the nearest couple decent sized towns in rural Illinois and there's 2 flock cameras less than 10 miles from my house, 1 east, 1 west. Who are they there for?

Tax does not do what most people think. It does not fund the government. What it does do might be even more important. I wrote this infographic. I used AI to draw it under my direction until I was satisfied with the result.

We no longer have even the proper equipment in place in the US to accurately predict weather events. A recent "heavy precipitation" event for my area resulted in .65" of rain. Up to 4" was predicted in the alerted areas. We have no idea what's coming.
