Mr. Young Hawk is still in the oak tree this morning. I moved my feeders to a different tree and only put one of each out. Poor bluejays are up in wings. He has to be hunting because he's low in the tree and can easily watch where I usually put the feeders.

Fortunately this young red-tailed hawk flew over to a nearby tree when I got out of my car. It’s been hanging around since last night and this morning it was grounded because we’d had heavy rain overnight. I was prepared to catch it and take to a local raptor rehab place tomorrow if still grounded.

Trying to get motivated to mow more lawn. I have to do it in thirds because 7 years ago I went cheap and bought a Cub Cadet mower for my nearly 3 acres. Was fine then because I on;y did the lawn. Since giving in to nature, the former cow pasture/hay field needs mowed so I can at least walk in it.
