Getting our piano tuned today! It’s an Astin-Weight console. Short enough that you can see other musicians over the top. But it has a BIG low end, because entire back is soundboard and the bass strings go across diagonally. Furniture finish is inconsistent but sound is great.

Today, again, I played HVAC engineer. Furnace controller blew a relay; building was without heat. Contractors in #Laramie are scarce, slow, and expensive. I diagnosed; drove 90 miles round trip to Cheyenne; picked up new board; traced wires; decoded cryptic instructions; drilled. 1/2

Wife has a unique way of defrosting a turkey. Rather than trying to find room in a freezer or fridge, she buys it the weekend before and puts it in a cooler. This causes it to thaw very slowly; it's ready to cook but still safely cold by Thanksgiving.
