I read HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE for the first time earlier this week, and I never met Diana Wynne Jones, I have no special insight on her writing process, but I feel like I can say after reading this book that there was no plot pantser who ever pantsed like Jones. Lovely, hilarious, & I do recommend!

I don't think the guy ever fully grasped the concept of consent, to be honest with you. He was trying to argue that the woman in the test case was only being lightly choked by her assailant, therefore she couldn't have really be in true fear for her life, therefore she inherently consented to sex.

There's probably a real problem in the third movie, since it turns out that Rey's grandpa is the CEO of Kylo Ren's organization, and is definitely attempting to hire/seduce to the Dark Side/murder Rey, which would create a conflict for Kylo, except then he helps kill clone!Palpatine.

There MIGHT be concerns regarding when she's auditing Jedi classes with Luke, because Kylo Ren was a former student who left under bad/murdery circumstances, and Luke is attempting to interfere with the two of them communicating with each other, but then Luke dies and I guess that's fine now.

I am now leaning toward #3, because I can say very honestly that when I was pregnant with our fourth son, my husband had zero naming fucks left to give, no new ideas, and in the third trimester of pregnancy just gave up completely and let me do exactly what I wanted, and I went mad with power.
