How do we learn how treatment resistance emerges in pancreatic cancer? As Tyler Jacks told The New York Times today: by “doing science in patients.” Today Gina Kolata looks at the work bringing together leading cancer researchers to understand resistance to KRAS inhibition directly in patients.

For #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth, we’re highlighting new research aimed at finding the leukemia cells that can be hardest to see. In AML, small numbers of cancer cells can remain after treatment, even when a patient is in remission. These residual cells can eventually lead to relapse.
