Yes, the Problems are bad, but this is no time for radical things like Solutions

Exactly; people are lead by their emotions rather than their brains

Worth remembering when looking at the horrific scenes in the US right now that both Reform and the Tories have pledged to bring in ICE-style organisations to the UK if they win power

Feature request: Now that #Apple devices can screenshot text and select the text in the image, those screenshots should embed any urls for links in that text, so I can also follow a link directly from the photo. (Yes I know this would have to stay Apple-only bc of image metadata do not incl. urls.)

I follow some brands where it was the only way I could find to complain to them about something

(Pronouncing that “massif” in my mind.)

I’d bet there are some Aussies here too. The first two albums were massive here.

This is one of like five albums for which I remember *exactly* where I was the first time I heard it. Probably helps that I’d never heard anything like it before!

Y’all should absolutely be doing anything you can to destroy the two-party system. But as it is, it exists. And Democrats, as awful as they are, are the best worst option. Focus on the structure.

Look I admit I’d prefer a leftist revolutionary version (and One Battle gave me at least a little bit of it), but as it goes The West Wing remains the cosiest, warmest political television bath.

Not only do they not care—it’s deliberate. If you constantly contradict yourself you end up with a talking point for everyone.

Fuck, can’t believe I delete Threads. I miss the likes.

I wanna see a political compass of the user bases of the various SM platforms. Obviously that would require a lot of work. I still want it though.

Is there a maker community on Bluesky?

DO NOT REPEAT THIS INSIGHT @bradlacey.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Deleted Threads, presumably for a day or two. It would be longer if Bluesky would let me switch users more quickly. (They haven’t fixed that have they? Like I haven’t updated so maybe I’m just wrong. I truly hope so.)

Okay well 2026 isn’t looking great. 2027’ll be the one, surely.

Totally! This is harder for me since I live in Australia but they’re the first band I ever saw live, and I think I’ve seen them ~six times. Nothing beats Yellow Ledbetter.

Damn now I wanna listen to Pearl Jam but I have a headache like my head might explode if I make a sudden movement.

No Code remains my favourite, and Pearl Jam has been my favourite band since I was 8. (Loved that each album came with some of the “Polaroids” from the cover too.)

Victoria Police banned racial profiling a decade ago. Has it made a difference?
