The weirdest criticism about any media to me is when people lament they lack of "likeable” characters. I simply don’t find value in requiring agreeable characters to make a compelling narrative.

Jesus. The last 24 years I thought I owned and played a loose copy of Resident Evil Director’s Cut. I just learned today after I bought a replacement case and manual for it that it was the original. Now I have to buy a copy of the Director’s Cut. 😵‍💫

I just realised I'm just not a big fan of the comic book medium. That’s probably why I’m at a stand still with what I’m writing despite knowing where it’s going and how it ends.

It’s a toss up for me as to whether Off the Wall or Bad is my favorite Michael Jackson record. Off the Wall has more bangers (Get on the Floor is peak), but Bad is more consistent.

I don’t understand how a photorealistic Wolverine looks less like Wolverine than Hugh Jackman, an actual person who really looks the part. They could’ve gone nuts with this. It’s a CG character.

Takahashi Meijin no Bug-tte Honey is easily the worst of all the Adventure Island games. I went into it without knowing much about the game since I’ve only seen the “action” stages in screen shots. Pulled a Brutal Legend on me. 😭

A likely raison d'être, but I think the doll/toy aesthetic that the Link’s Awakening went for with its remake was far more successful, especially since no element was given far more attention to details than others (Link vs NPCs, for instance).

I've been really into being mainly offline and enjoying old school gaming in my free time. Entertainment-wise, the early 80’s to mid-90’s is the sweet spot for me. I’m going to have to start scheduling drawing time since I usually did it in lieu of having other things to do.

There's a difference between TRYING to go for a certain look and actually *succeeding*. It's perfectly valid to be lauded for attempting the former at the same time as being criticised for the failing at the attempt.
