VICTORY!!! Last night, the Cambridge City Council voted 8-1 to pass a policy order that deprioritizes the arrest and prosecution of persons for consensual adult sex work. We are one step closer to statewide decriminalization. When we fight, we WIN.

Tonight we went out to support the striking workers at Encore casino! Casino workers and sex workers both face the stigma of working in a “vice” industry. Sex workers often work at casinos, and we appreciate the hard work of all the staff. Encore, pay your workers a fair wage!

Three white woman holding protest signs in front of a green manicured lawn and a tall ornate light up sign reading Encore. The signs say “Sex workers support casino workers,” “Boston sex workers support Encore workers,” and “Sex workers stand in solidarity with Encore workers.”

Yesterday we held the first ever S-x Worker Pride March in Boston. S-x workers are your neighbors, your community members, and your colleagues, and we are proud of who we are! ☂️

A group of about 50 people standing with banners and red umbrellas in front of a brick building with a red awning reading “Jacque’s” and a gay pride flag. The banners, from left to right, read “Save Our Selves,” “Protect Trans Futures,” “Whores Started Pride: Decriminalize Sex Work Now, BSWAC,” and “Sex Worker Pride Boston.”

Every year, the cheers we hear at Pride get a little bit louder. We dream for a day when none of us has to wear a paper bag over our head to protect our identity, when none of our members fear marching because they could be recognized as a sex worker. Thanks for enabling us to be ourselves.
