2nd one a lot of albums are doing heavy lifting to rep certain genres. Debated a lot on the last w/ The Decemberists and Adam Lambert lol WAIT THE FIRST ONE should have No Need to Argue by The Cranberries and the Dick soundtrack noooo ahh And the % of jrock and jpop is NOT well represented here...

BootPrince 👢👑 @bootprince.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

This was difficult bc I frequently didn't listen to full albums in favor of individual mp3 downloads as a kid into mostly jpop/jrock and the radio. But 1st list is entirely elementary school & I think set the foundation for my taste. 2nd list is elementary, middle/high school, college ig?

One of the OG slash pairings of modern fandom, this week's #ShipSunday is Starsky/Hutch. Popular at a time when many fans were afraid to consume slash works publicly, many S/H fics/vids were shared privately among fans. Learn more on Fanlore: bit.ly/4yju0Lp

I desperately want to know if Sanami Matoh has watched Starsky & Hutch. I'm watching it for the first time and keep thinking of FAKE. Serious blonde and playful brunette cops obsessed w/ each other and sometimes adopting street kids? One has a dad involved in crime? Please? Queen, have you seen it?

New York City friends! The LES cat cafe Koneko is closing tomorrow and needs urgent help rehoming some kitties. This place was very cute and took good care of their cats. Tell cat curious NYC friends that there are kitties that need some homes. www.instagram.com/p/DbbfOxcGu1V/

RNYC urgently needs fosters or adopters. If not placed before closing, some cats may go to their limited, private holding space, while others will be fostered by staff, volunteers, or their small foster network.

I say one of my greatest wishes because obviously my greatest wish is for those who work in comics to be better paid wages than what that have been largely stagnant for decades. They should be able to live off their work (& have benefits). I think the IP farm mindset is directly detrimental to this.

BootPrince 👢👑 @bootprince.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

One of my greatest wishes for the comic industry is for it to be treated as a respected medium that can be chosen on its merits for storytelling rather than an IP farm for other mediums. I have wished for this since I noticed how bad it was getting in 2012. It's only gotten worse.

it's basically the number one rule to any medium ; you can't just tunnel-vision and pigeon hold yourself into a corner. that niche may feel comfortable but it's stifling and prevents you from seeing "the bigger picture" in any sort of artistic/cultural context
