At the #TechEffect podcast episode we explored why #accessibility is a non-negotiable step in any product, how having one voice with your colleagues changes teamwork, and how I find the balance between flexibility and consistency in products. Watch it complete here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS-G...
A quote from the podcast: It might be that your product is ready for some, which is a very good starting point, but again - someone else can come and have a better product, and "better" means more performant, more secure, but also more accessible. That's why accessibility is so important.

If a UI element is interactive, exposed to AT, needs event listeners, needs role/aria customisation, and needs programmatic focus. It should be in HTML. It's frustrating this is a conversation that even needs to be had.

What an amazing feeling is to receive this kind of messages...it made my day :)
Dear Adrian,
I hope you're well. Probably you wouldn't remember me, you came to (CENSORED) and did a lecture on accessibility. I just wanted to let you know that you motivated me to start working towards that direction too, I also took the online class you suggested on accessibility by W3C and I tried to implement some standards on my final project, an online platform for art spaces to display their programme. Of course there is so much more left to take care of but it's a journey I am excited about.
Have a lovely weekend!
Warm regards.
