Art tip: don't share everything you draw. Draw things you never intend to show anyone. Your brain needs time to just exist in a state that's not about performing for strangers. This used to be the normal way to exist before social media poisoned us.

After having gone through my other surgery, this one was so much more low-key. As long as you can carefully manage the aftercare process and your eye anatomy allows for it, it’s very worth it. I could see immediately after the procedure and the discomfort period usually only lasts 1-2 days.

So, having worn prescription glasses my entire life since I was 7. I was able to get eye surgery yesterday. Today I walked out of a store with non-prescription sunglasses for the first time. 🥰 It’s so awesome to be able to see without glasses, contacts never worked for me.

I went way too hard on this con badge I'm kinda stoked on it tho

a furry con badge depicting a half rat half wolf with big fangs and fang-like buck teeth under the light of a full moon wearing a necklace with two rings welded together. I was able to walk the entire Capitol Hill Pride festival today without any issues, just 2 months after surgery. Recovery is going very well, and being able to participate so soon is really special. 🥰🏳️‍⚧️

Here is my advice to artists: I learned this one the hard way. Keep your sketchbooks PRIVATE. Do not post sketchbooks if you can afford to avoid it. You need to be able to mess around without an audience behind you. You should not make everything public.
