In this article, www.theguardian.com/commentisfre..., Hugh Muir says that it is legitimate for journalists to be concerned about "the importance of integrity in academia and public life". Which begs the question: what's more of a threat to "integrity in academia" - one academic, or systemic cuts?

A rightwing witch-hunt focused on Jason Arday – but so did legitimate journalism | Hugh Muir
Amid the grief and rage at a tragic loss, it’s right to differentiate between those who fought a culture war and others who just sought the truth, says Hugh Muir, executive editor, Opinion

My academic employer - Cardiff Uni - is yet to send a message of support to staff following Jason Arday's death. Curious as to which universities are supporting their staff. If you're an academic, can you reply with name of institution and whether they've emailed a message of support?

Kevin Nunn has spent 20 years in prison for a horrifying murder. Was he wrongly convicted?
In a case full of surprising scenarios, the time and place of the murder were never established, and Nunn was found guilty despite a lack of forensic evidence. He is still maintaining his innocence, b...
