Here's a quick meme I made for my server to prove that I'm still alive and actively on Bsky #starforce #solo

This meme depicts Solo from the Megaman Star Force franchise, sitting down across a white background. The text located within the speech bubble above his head to the right reads, "'You don't look Mexican'. What am I supposed to look like... tres tacos de carne asada y frijoles or some shit?'".

This meme is meant to both pay homage to Solo's real life origins, as the beliefs, rituals, and traditions from the fictional civilization of the Continent of Mu greatly parallel that of the Aztecs. (Ie, the societal emphasis on warrior hierarchy, regular sacrifice to a god/deities (Le Mu), and the real life association of the Aztecs with the advancement of space/celestial body knowledge and/or mythology; something which is important for the Star Force universe).

This meme also is meant as a positive critique for Solo's appearance, considering that he does not seem to follow (at least, design-wise), traditionally associated/stereotypical portrayals of Mexican and/or Mexican-adjacent/implied archetypes. In the anime and in other media, it does not appear that Solo speaks with a heavy accent or in broken English, further adding emphasis to the non-stereotypical portrayal of his character, despite being very likely to be Mexican/Hispanic-descending.
