Hot take: surprises can often be selfish. I have a friend that never tells her family she’s visiting so she can surprise them. They get a pleasant surprise but it’s stressful because they couldn’t plan (so it’s not really good for them and it seems more about her feeling good for surprising them)

Boiled the kettle to make poached eggs. Took 20 mins after it boiled to actually put it in the pot etc. Left them to cook for a few minutes. Realised I hadn’t actually put the eggs in. Toast wasn’t quite done so I put it down again and ended up burning it. Maybe I do have ADHD…
