my curse is that when dealing with smth complex it does help a great deal to talk it through w someone verbally But 1. for all but the simplest instructions i need them to be written lest i forget them all and 2. i am not good at taking notes in the moment, esp if the other person is still talking

ok well i wound up buying it (it's $15 actually oops) bc i was vaguely aware of a sewing assist option since having to do it all manually would've been my biggest hurdle. controls are a little jank/not intuitive for me when i'm trying to wrap accessories around fabric but i'm having fun otherwise

An aside on this thread: it’s unlikely we will ever have entirely machine made clothing. For 3D printing or laser-cut and welded, we’ll have to use plastics and those aren’t comfortable. The two likely real world options are circular knits — so far, we can machine-knit at 2 meter circumference.

honestly this is not even the point but also, there are no fully machine made clothes!! clothes still usually need to be sewn by hand (even with a sewing machine)!! almost like ai can't truly replicate most things and trying to prove otherwise shows what you don't actually value!!

update: apparently there was some sort of beetle although 1. unclear if it was anywhere near the kitchen mat before bandit spotted it in the living room 2. it fully disappeared in the 30 ish seconds it took me to get a cup and paper. so i guess it's just here now

i think where my brain got the six month thing is that when you apply to take one of the exams you get a notice to schedule your exam sometime in the next six months. if you fail you do have to get a new notice but there's no waiting period or anything. zero clue where the political map came from
