A few Christmas ago I was gifted this plastic mass produced window crystal thing. Occasionally it makes pretty rainbows but during the eclipse it created these amazing rainbow crescents on the bedroom wall.

I have also heard the charity finance argument. "We have a moral obligation to use donations as efficiently as possible. AI generated content [especially graphics] is cheaper and good enough, compared to paying for original content" Ethics can feel like a luxury when budgets are tight

I am really surprised how few charities have AI policies. In 6 months of solo work as a freelancer, not a single contract ive signed for a charity has included an AI clause (pro or anti). So many are just ignoring it🤷

Ridiculously unaware BBC presenter on radio 4, points out the number of people classed as disabled has increased since 2019. But fails to state the obvious. We had a mass disabling event in COVID-19. We will continue to unpick the long term health (physical & mental) impacts for years.

A victorious Andy Burnham MP (24,937 votes), as the result of the Makerfield by-election is announced, flanked by defeated candidates Count Binface (a bloke in a vaguely sci-fi costume with a large bin for a helmet; 95 votes) and Robert Pownall (who is in a full body fox costume, holding a sign reading "Protect British Wildlife"; 18 votes). I hope mumsnet will be leading by example and start banning under 16 mums from using its forums as the campaigned so hard for this ban. Unless they think they are special and deserve to be treated differently because they see the social media they provide as good but everyone else's is bad.

Over lunch I was inspired to write a short little business card size micro game. It is called Klankers won't like you anymore. It is a playful way to explore communication between humans.

(any creative materials and an AI to confuddle)
Take turns creating messages for another player. This could be a plain text poem, abstract diagram or a collage of news clippings. The other player needs to tell you what the message means, if they are correct, you score 1 point and can move on to step 2. Send the message to an AI service and ask it to tell you what it means. If the AI can’t understand it and gives you an incorrect explanation of the message’s meaning you score 3 more points. Most points wins after 3 rounds.

One thing I should say about #UKGE is how absolutely joyous it was seeing hundreds (at least) of trans folk just being themselves and having fun playing games, surrounded by tens of thousands of allies. One day all spaces will be this good.
