The Matt Johnson Magic the Gathering movie should clearly be an Uncut Gems style "horrible gambling addict thriller" about somebody in the depths of the Levine Trench but unfortunately WotC would never allow it because it would be deeply unflattering to the brand.

For anybody checking out Lanterns on HBO who isn't super familiar with Green Lantern, it's important to know that canonically if you try to use a lantern ring after snorting heroin it makes a fucked up monster version of you that tries to eat you.

a very pre-internet band, one you learned of by listening to college radio or haunting record stores. I think we live in a cynical age where no one believes a band might be making music just because they like how it feels to do so, but HJ were strictly business. Their music was for them. Rest easy.
