So I have to gush a little. I sent a fanmail parcel to Taylor Dearden, breakout star of "The Pitt" and per the information I was given today's the day it should be delivered to her agency. I've never done anything like that before. But this really felt special to do.

Does anyone else think it's kinda weird that the ALCS is only a 5 game series this year?

YESSSSSSSS Oh you thought you won the right to play in October, Houston Asshats? Well, a funny thing happened on the way to October, now didn't it?

The Trump administration bought advertising space on CNN and MS NOW, running taxpayer-funded ads promoting President Trump, even as the president barred both cable networks from the White House grounds — bans that have been paused by a federal judge.

Trump buys ads on CNN, MS NOW as he fights to bar them from the White House

Taxpayer-funded ads denouncing the “deep state” and “globalists” aired locally on the two cable networks Trump has sought to ban from White House grounds.

Mamdani is 100% right here, despite some people reading into this things that are not said here. Antisemitism is a scourge upon the world. Doesn't need any qualification or quantification or caveats or what-abouts. Any antisemitism is too much antisemitism.

I'm having one hell of an interesting "shoe's on the other foot" moment. So I've started using facebook a little. Reconnected with a deeply loved dear old friend, and another maybe a smidgen less deeply loved but still very cared about friend from childhood.

Just found I'm much too rich to get this knocked down even a nickel. My income just through September is already way above the threshold where the hospital will offer financial assistance.

Home from yet another trip to the emergency room. Getting tired of that place. At least the reason this time is pretty prosaic. I crashed my bike 🤷‍♀️ Badly sprained wrist, gnarly road rash on my knee, pinky, and nose, and a chipped tooth -- but nothing bleeding or broken on the inside.

Started watching The Pitt. Dunno what took me so long. I like medical shows, the cast is phenomenal (more on that momentarily), and it's set in my adopted home town so even most of the local references manage to land for me. What's not to love? While I recognized and love Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif,

@honeyvenomstorm.bsky.social I'm really sorry, but this is gonna eat at me. And if I mention it on LL they'll bombard me with curses and epithets.

You know what's funny? Facebook is starting to push me autism-related accounts and pages in its algorithm. I've never discussed my diagnosis there outside DM's that are allegedly encrypted end-to-end and unreadable. I've made precious few public posts at all.

Over the last month or so I've been attempting to connect with a really really really close childhood friend. (Take off maybe two "really"s for a second friend) She hadn't responded to me for a while, which was hard but I know it wasn't because she didn't love me anymore or anything like that.

Oh and as a newly diagnosed 40 year old autistic person, can I get a "fuck RFK" from the congregation? The way he demonizes and scaremongers about this condition is just disgusting. Does my life have challenges a neurotypical person doesn't have and could probably never understand? Of course.

Conscious unmasking is the best gift I ever gave myself. By stopping policing what my body wants to do all the time, by not forcing myself to adhere to behavioral and interpersonal norms that are fundamentally alien to me, by giving myself "permission to be weird" (1/2)

Currently playing the Robocop game. It's not bad, but I have no attachment to the franchise (never even seen the movies). Objective in my quest just now is to "find a working phone booth" Guessing a non-trivial portion of the player base saw that & though "what the fuck is a phone booth?"

I'm honestly starting to think the "wilds" of Facebook might be scarier than Twitter. Kinda wishing Film Pittsburgh used a different app for its shenanigans. The algorithm over there is pushing me comedy reels. Some of them are funny (there's good stand-ups).

Saw this story on Facebook. Thought I'd scroll the comments. I figured there'd be some trash in there. Oh how wrong I was. 98+% of the comments were some of the most vile shit I, a very much not passing trans woman, have ever heard.
