The Trump admin is operating as if unconstrained by law or courts. As @anthonylfisher.bsky.social argues, that’s different from Trump’s 1st term, which broke some rules but were constrained by others. We’ve never before seen a White House team act without concern of impeachment or criminal charges.

Court orders defied. I know some in media and the legal profession say it's not a Constitutional crisis unless the Supreme Court majority says "you absolutely must do this, there is no legal wiggle room" and the president says "I hereby officially defy that court order," but that bar is too high.

I think about this from Victor Serge a lot.
