I hate when this happens! I just finished a 10k fic that ended up w 20k+ of sludge that didn't work, and! I don't even really like it, so now it's just going to sit there. I don't write many longfics, but I know if I have chars I can't stop thinking about and an ending, I'll prob stick with it.
