Is AI solving millenium math problems going to be a problem for Penrose's argument for quantum effects in the brain being responsible for our ability to do math?

I also think Iran is aware of the midterms, but I am more skeptical about Trump being freer to escalate afterwards. With what weapons, one could ask? Is he gonna burn off the remaining arsenal? We really need to face the reality that the US is much weaker than we thought.

Cell surface remodeling caused by the loss of the flippase subunit TMEM30A in immune cells
Summary: TMEM30A loss disrupts membrane lipid asymmetry, increasing phosphatidylserine exposure, membrane dynamics and surface remodeling, linking flippase dysfunction to immune cell interactions.

1/ Mitochondrial Na⁺ links metabolism, Ca2+ signaling and disease. We know how it gets in, how it gets out, and proteins that use it. But: we've never actually seen Na⁺ in single mitochondria in live cells. We started with an unusual observation, went down a rabbit hole & found some cool biology .
A mitochondrion showing Ca2+ entering through the MCU, exchanged for Na+ by NCLX, Complex I acting as a Na+/H+ exchanger, and various transporters that use Na+ to move their substrates in and out of the mitochondria

Weird statement by Rutte. First, it is obviously wrong. Given time and the necessary investments, Europe can of course defend itself without U.S. And second: Why undermine European deterrence like that? This message increases the risk that Putin will try to exploit the current fracture in NATO.
