Shit, you're right, it's about 2 hours 15 minutes from me as well!

Now after 7 markets, I've sold 125 prints in total (34 unique images). I now have two images that are tied for the top seller spot: the one of the Adirondack tree below, but also my bisexual pride grid:

An image of sections of a nude woman's body arranged in a grid pattern, lit in the colors of the bisexual pride flag.

Alas, gonna have to nix tonight's stream -- have a bunch of shit to do tonight, particularly doing prep for this Sunday's A Big Gay Market. So we'll break out Resident Evil Revelations at some point next week, provided I have some hours free.

One of the songs I'm singing in my November choir concert is "Amazing Grace." It takes every ounce of my brain to NOT change and sing the ending lyrics to the riff from the MST3K ep "The Touch of Satan": THIS SONG IS IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN THAT'S WHYYYYYYY WE USED IT TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE

Welp, the Astros, Red Sox, and Cubs get this year's first YOU TRIED stickers as their respective playoffs lasted only two games each. And with the Red Sox out, I'm now a Rays fan against the Yankees. I want to see MLB's nightmare come true: Brewers vs. Rays in the World Series.

This Sunday will be the last A Big Gay Market I will be doing this year (I won't be able to make the November & December markets due to a concert dress rehearsal and PAX Unplugged, respectively), so if you want to buy some of my photography, come to the Washington Park Lake House in downtown Albany!

A digital flyer for A Big Gay Market, scheduled for Sunday, October 4th.

I don't regret WHY I did that. With how often my spouse and I moved, constantly lugging all those physical games was a bitch. Downsizing because of that is an overall smart idea! But now with the industry looking to kill physical media altogether...well, I guess it's time to reclaim them.

Brian J. French @bjfrenchphoto.com · 28/09/2026

Sometimes I have regrets over some of the decisions past me made. This one in particular was when I spent several years downsizing my physical game collection by buying up the digital versions of them and selling the physical ones because why would I need to own multiple copies of the same game?

It really was probably the best era of NYRF for our lifetime, anyway. Those were definitely huge draws then. Now I catch any of the former members at all, it's either here at my local faire in Albany or when I head down to MDRF (Maryland).

I had been going to NYRF pretty much every year from 1997 to right around 2020 or so. Alas, I've long since been priced out and a lot of the friends I made among the cast and musicians have long since moved on to other faires.
