Panel 4 - Kevin’s father has arrived. A rugged, graying, handsome, older military man in camo or fatigues. He’s wearing sunglasses and a military jacket, triumphantly standing on the top of an old Sherman tank that just rolled into the Riverdale High parking lot.

The tank has a bunch of stickers on the side, near the top: a rainbow flag, “PROUD FATHER OF A RIVERDALE HIGH HONORS STUDENT”, “I LOVE MY GAY SON KEVIN KELLER” He’s in the parking lot and his arrival has caused a bit of destruction and ruckus. The rest of the students are on the steps looking in amazement.

Comic book timelines: how do they work?

Panel 1

This panel is set in 1941!

We’re in a classroom at Riverdale High. Mr. Weatherbee is at the front of the class, near the chalkboard, which is green. The word DETENTION is written on the board in white chalk. We can see Archie sitting at a desk near Weatherbee. A calendar on the wall reads MAY 1941

MR. WEATHERBEE, with anger in his face: Unless you want to spend the rest of your life in detention, I suggest you change your attitude!

ARCHIE, upset at the fact that he’s in trouble: Gosh, you bet, Mr. Weatherbee!
