<div class="field field-field-text"><p data-end="396" data-start="254">Palestinians fleeing Gaza City over the past months are encountering worsening conditions in other parts of the Strip. </p>
<p data-end="664" data-start="398">The influx has overcrowded tent camps and driven up the cost of basic goods. “The beach is crowded. Everywhere is crowded. There’s no hygiene. It’s a struggle to get water and food,” Iman el-Naya, from Khan Younis, who left Gaza City three months ago, told the AP.</p>
<p data-end="820" data-start="666">“I go and stand in line for water. Getting bread is a struggle. Everything is even more expensive after the people from the north came here,” she added.</p>
<p data-end="1016" data-start="822">Shorouk Abu Eid, a pregnant woman displaced from Gaza City to Khan Younis four months ago, described the situation as increasingly desperate. “There is no privacy, no peace of mind,” she said.</p>
<p data-end="1189" data-start="1018">“Places I used to walk to in five or 10 minutes are taking me around an hour now because of the congestion. There’s barely 10cm [4 inches] between tents,” Abu Eid added.</p>
<p data-end="1381" data-start="1191">The surge of displaced Palestinians highlights the humanitarian crisis triggered by Israel’s relentless assault on Gaza, leaving civilians trapped in overcrowded, under-resourced shelters.</p>
