Right now, there are two extremes with AI: 1. Total AI Slop 2. Refusal to use it/bare minimum use In between is the sweet spot where real value, progress, & success are. The problem? Everyone is so busy jumping to the extremes that they're missing the actual opportunity.

I love what Tauri has done, a lightweight version of Electron, where you author the backend code in Rust. But while I love Rust, I do not love it for app building, and I wanted to have that HTML-model for programming but available in Swift. 1/2

Finally tried SwiftUI's focus system for macOS menu commands (with help from @troz.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy and @danielsaidi.bsky.social ) and ... I think it's good. Was able to do exactly what I wanted. Pretty much makes. I still find SwiftUI overwhelmingly complex at times, but I'm learning!

React Native's showcase page vs Flutter's showcase page. Worth noting that React Native lists 3x Big Tech companies on its page (Meta, Microsoft, Amazon). Flutter lists Google. Apple, for obvious reasons, will never show up on either page (unless hell freezes over!)
