Tragic. My heart goes out to her friends, family, and colleagues. The first incident of this type (transportation planner killed by car) that stuck with me was a local one, where an LA Metro transportation planner died crossing street in 2020. www.legacy.com/us/obituarie...

Big main character energy! I can’t resist posting this crazy pic of me enjoying the Ride of the Fancy Women on Sunday, June 14. It’s the highlight of my summer! Thanks to my friends @bikeology.bsky.social for organizing and my friend @ianhosler.bsky.social for taking this picture.
Me riding a white bike in a rose-patterned dress and a red fascinator with my mouth wide open with a smile of joy. Behind me is my daughter Maida riding a purple bike and wearing a white dress.

We're inspired by families like @mommypedals.bsky.social, @realdocbrown.bsky.social or @jkparker.bsky.social who use cargobikes & e-bikes to move thru the city (core & 'burbs) as families, 90% of the time. But without better public & regional transit, car-lite is the reasonable option & that's ok.
