Just in from EPS: There was a homicide at the Edmonton Remand Centre on Wednesday. 26-year-old Nathaniel Burchant died from "blunt head injury" after a report of "an assault between two inmates." If there haven't been any further deaths since the end of October, this is the 5th death in ERC in 2024.
