9 games that made me who I am today. (more in alt text)

My 9 Games box art collage featuring:
- Sid Meier's Civilization: an addictive game that knobbled my GCSE results (and Civ 2: R I P to my Uni results).
- Uridium 2: A top-down R-type a-like where instead of a constant side scroller, you strafe an enemy ship then land to blow up the reactor in a static flappy bird style.
- Fallout 2 because it is simply the best Fallout (sorry NV, but my dislike of F3 put me off playing it for so long that by the time I did play it, the graphics were REALLY dated).
- Given how much time I've sunk into Fallout 4, it's not a good game, it's a a guilty pleasure.
- Final Fantasy 7: I um'd and ah'd about which F.F. to choose but I'll go with this one. It's iconic for a reason and the first one I ever played.
- Skidmarks: Another Amiga banger. Simple isometric top-down racing fun. Shout out to Skidmarks 2 for adding caravans towed by cows on wheels.
- Speedball 2: Even though I didn't know what was happening most of the time, I loved it.
- Aliens versus Predator: 19 99 version my mate in university halls and I used serial link to play this multiplayer. It's one of my favourite memories.
- Knights of the Sky: An Amiga flight sim that set me on the path of plane obsession, leading to me being nicknamed Biggles by my mates

As a former short-term bar manager at a booze n burger stand in Leicester, the ban was just the footie. Rugby matches there were not subject to the same restrictions. IME footie fans were (mostly) shouty entitled lager drinking asses while the rugby lot were polite bitter drinkers
