I went back and watched S1 of Stranger Things and it's absolutely dripping with mystery. It's such a stark difference from the current season where the Big Bad is known by everyone and even has a name. Feels like this season exists because the Stranger Things IP sells and that's it.

It's a fools errand to try to predict the future but I do think people underrate the possibility that post-Trump politics kind of returns to a version of normal. Not saying it's the most likely option but I do think it's on the table more than many people imagine.

Finished Wind and Truth. I'm not sure if I'm going to read future Stormlight Archive books. The plot has gotten so abstract and convoluted that I can barely follow it anymore. This book was an absolute slog to get through especially considering it's nearly 1700 pages long.

Personally I think they should just give the MVP award to the most valuable player of the season rather than trying to avoid giving it to the same player over and over and also trying to eventually award it to players who are generally very valuable even if they didn't earn it in a given season.

I think Josh has HOF level talent for sure but typically achievements/accolades are required to get entry. Not to mention first ballot is considered quite an honor and typically reserved for the best of their era. I know this is just a Twitter post but people get fast and loose with this stuff.
