part why i like walking sims is cuz i am the guy that spends ages just looking at the world in a game and examining the assets cuz i like the details. esp if they got fake products i LOVE looking at fake products in games

started SILENT HILL: Townfall last night and spent so much of my time just looking at the world. if you are from ireland or the uk, it feels so authentic it looks so much like places you've been. everyones been to a seaside town like this. i even sat there like "omg they got the bins!!!"

Oof. Yeah. Interesting looking game that just went flying off my wishlist at the speed of sound. And no, it's not for AI stuff. That avenue of investigation went nowhere.

So this game called "Dverghold" came across my Steam homepage. Interesting retro vibes, apparently collabing with a dungeon synth artist for the OST. The art was kinda tickling my AI-dar though, so I scrolled down to look for any disclaimers.

I take zero fucking pleasure in reminding people about this every time, but Lollipop Chainsaw is currently in the hands of some absolute losers and you should not give them your money. You should, however, check out the original 360/PS3 release because it’s a lot of fun! (Source in alt text)

So, for the non video game nerds: the top 3 hardest things to do in video games is 1. animate changing clothing 2. handing one item to another char 3. Lying under covers in bed. So from a technical perspective, this weird ass Strip Mahjong game is like writing Beethoven's 9th, but for gooning.

Molleindustria FUTURE? NO THANKS! OUT NOW @molleindustria.org · 27/08/2026

Update: even after we removed the entire sex quest, Steam mis-classifies Future? No Thanks! as pornography, making it invisible to most Steam users and completely geo-locked in Germany. We are currently at Gamescom in Cologne, everybody is asking us why they can't see the PAGE of a Teen rated game.

A reminder, again, that Ireland has *chosen* not to take regulatory action against this abuse factory, whose office sits in Fenian Street in Dublin. I think this failure to act in the face of clear knowledge is an unforgivable act.

This whole AI scrapers going after Cara thing is really driving home how much the mentality of these people is the same as an abuser. The lack of consent excites them. It turns them on. And that's deeply messed up and pathetic.
