Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 15/09/2026One of my kids dressed as Brunel for Halloween years ago! He handed out little business cards explaining who he was. 😁❤️ 120
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 26/07/2026Those are at least real letters of the alphabet. (The bar is low!) I remember this ad from last August… 110
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 09/06/2026This is the side wall in the small amphitheater across the street from the museum where the General is housed. We now have a much larger amphitheater next to it for concerts, but I’ve always liked this little space. It’s surrounded by Wilbur Kurtz paintings of the chase. 130
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 16/05/2026At the Atlanta Studies Symposium this week, one of the keynote speakers was Dr Brian Goldstone, whose 2025 book on the working homeless population in Atlanta just received the Pulitzer Prize for general non-fiction last week. His lecture was eye-opening, and I am eager to read his book. 1/2 130
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 12/03/2026I literally just came upstairs to relocate the Wonderful World of Knowledge books from behind the guest bed because my parents are coming to visit tomorrow, and these would be in the way. 150
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 08/03/2026I’ve been keeping an eye on a company that makes lightweight scarves with prints inspired by books, and today I found one that I had to order. The print is based on an 1899 edition of Elbert Hubbard’s Little Journeys, printed by his Roycroft Press.1/2 150
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 16/02/2026Do you know this movie? I won’t spoil it, but it has a very funny Designing Women-adjacent scene. 010
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 31/01/2026“I don’t care where we go for dinner tonight, as long as it’s relatively close to the churro place.” We got six churros with strawberry and dulce de lèche dipping sauces, and a cocoberry sundae. The churro loops on the sundae were coated in Nutella and sprinkled with shredded coconut. 051
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 24/01/2026I might have told you this before, but the chase started about five minutes from my house. The real General is now at a museum in Kennesaw, and the real Texas is at the Atlanta History Center. 020
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 23/11/2025We saw a fascinating exhibit at the Zuckerman Museum of Art, on campus at Kennesaw State University. This is the Jennifer Angus “Lady Bug” exhibit. 3100
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 25/10/2025Ours arrived today, too - so cute! Thank you, @radicallyretro.bsky.social ! 030
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 07/10/2025The Planet Fitness near us misspelled “judgment” over the front door, and I silently (or not - depends on who is in the car) judge it every time I see it. 031
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 28/09/2025Brian is making us all cry right out of the gate this morning. This really is a special community. #retromagic 1182
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 14/09/2025Wishing you a peaceful start to your day. We think this tune is “The Carnival of Venice.” 4302
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 03/09/2025I stepped outside this morning, and got this reminder that beauty is everywhere. (Other photos show the species of butterfly I think this is, and the “peacock blue” ink I just bought for my fountain pen.) 0290
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 02/08/2025We went to see this tool collection at Reinhardt University today. We’ve seen it many times before, but we really like it, so we stop by whenever we’re in the area. This is a tiny sampling of what’s there. I like the organization of them, with a panel for each type of tool. 030
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 18/07/2025I think I’ve shown you this before, but this is my favorite Halloween picture of @andrewbramlett.bsky.social. (Thanks to my brother for the Photoshop work!) 120
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 22/06/2025I need to just scan the whole thing, but here are a few sample pages. 120
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 13/06/2025I listened to John Williams’s Green Album on the drive up. 010
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 13/06/2025It’s a beautiful day at Shenandoah National Park. 380
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 07/06/2025Pepper jack crab soup and Asian shrimp salad at Awful Arthur’s in Salem, VA. Delicious! (We were sharing the soup, and they split it in the kitchen; that’s why it looks like a small portion. It’s so rich that half is all I can do!) 050
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 28/05/2025There’s a rest area in Andrews, NC, where we always stop. When we were there at the start of the long weekend, most of theirs were just about to bloom, and many had bloomed on our return trip. 020
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 26/05/2025We took a few photos of the Grand Bohemian. I wondered what the plan was for that McDonald’s. (One of my kids is a very picky eater, so we’ve gone through that drive through many times!) 100
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 26/05/2025We drove over to Asheville yesterday to see the Biltmore Village area. Most of that area is still closed. 240
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 26/05/2025We saw this enormous elk in Maggie Valley, NC, this morning. We were safely in the car, and he was very close to the road, right in front of the post office. We thought it was a statue at first. 5723
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 24/05/2025Family reunion time! This baby’s name is Xena, Warrior Princess. 260
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 14/05/2025We have a relative who grows heirloom tomatoes and is well-known in the seed-saving community. Every year he brings a big tray of gorgeous, multicolored heirloom tomatoes to our family reunion. The flavors are amazing. 160
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 08/05/2025Come see the whale sharks! (Those are my kids in the photo - they - are a lot taller now!) 010
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 29/04/2025I had no idea what you were talking about, but I found it in Beach Reads! 120
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 20/04/2025We’re watching the 1988 Walt Disney World Happy Easter Parade (thanks to the guys at @retrowdw.bsky.social), and Regis just introduced us to an exciting new Viking adventure, coming soon. 0322
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 19/04/2025I found this layered stencil at Michael’s a couple of weeks ago, and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I was concerned at that there wasn’t enough contrast between the colors, but I like the overall effect. 6302
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 17/04/2025No, but I remember the guy at the Disney Store who would set the whole shelf of alarm clocks to go off about 30 minutes after his shift ended. 390

Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 06/04/2025Weekend movies! I saw The Greatest Showman with one of my sons yesterday, and the other son and I are here for Sunset Boulevard today. Yesterday the organist played a particularly jaunty medley of Gonna Fly Now/Eye of the Tiger, and I’m hoping he does the same program again today. 😁 050
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 03/04/2025We found this recipe for Fish Surprise Sticks in a Nordic Ware booklet among my grandmother’s belongings. They weren’t kidding about it being unusual. 190
Beth B @beth-loves-epcot.bsky.social · 29/03/2025We’re hoping for rain here! Our pollen count is off the charts, and people who have allergies are miserable. 010
