Unfortunately, Legacy of Kain: Defiance appears to have been translated using AI LLM once again. I understand their desire to cut costs, but if that's the case, I'd rather have no localization at all.

@rainaaudron.bsky.social Raina, sorry to reach out on release day. I’ve encountered a major localization issue that may be related to font handling for Asian languages.

Deus Ex was officially released in China in 2001, distributed by “北京新天地” (who brought many Eidos titles to China), but without any translation or localization.

I never imagined the text for the Spy Drone augmentation was hidden so cleverly.

Unfortunately, the fan-translated version is incompatible with the kentie's exe. However, it's good news that by following kentie's modification method, we've fixed the subtitle display for cutscenes at 1920x1080 resolution. #DeusEx

As far as I know, most of Aspyr's localization work is done using AI/LLM, so I can already foresee that the Deus Ex Remastered release will be a flop.

My review of the CN localization of Soul Reaver 1 & 2: The entire Chinese text seems to be translated by AI. Many sentences are very rough and the connections between sentences are very incoherent. They cannot be compared with the beautiful English text at all and need to be polished.

OMG, they translated Retreat in The Lost Levels as "withdraw" Lmao.

I haven't checked all the texts yet, but I apparently found a translation error where they translated Melchiah's "Do you believe for a moment that our Lord would risk his empire upon an upstart inheritance?" into "Do you really believe that our master will entrust his empire to the new forces?"

What will the official localization look like? I'm very curious. #SoulReaver #LegacyofKain

I've been interested in Indiana Jones game, but I've purchased so many games this year that I've been forced to use GamePass to get into this one.

Dorian's sexuality isn't all he's about, but that's certainly how some viewed it. When the character was announced in 2014, his being gay was mentioned as the last of a number of points, and the instant response from some gamers was to act as if we'd called a press conference just to say THAT. 🙄

Honestly, while I think giving feedback is fine and the team at Saber did a great job, it makes me cringe to see the alt-right see changing the design based on feedback as some kind of culture war victory.

Seeing the change of Lara's pose for the last revelation in the remastered artwork for TR 4-6 for the last revelation with her hand away like the original on the (left) and now she has her hand in front on the (right) ♥️😎

I just found out that besides the painting in Lara's house, the Melchahim Symbol appeared in Tibet! OMG, Is this a world crossing or an invasion?😂 I think @rainaaudron.bsky.social foreshadowed the existence of SR remastered in her way! Like the coordinates of Giza!

I think your team looked up some references. In my opinion, there are at least 山海经/Shan Hai Jing and 封神演义/Investiture of the Gods. How long did you spend reading the material? What creative changes did you make?
