Unfortunately, Legacy of Kain: Defiance appears to have been translated using AI LLM once again. I understand their desire to cut costs, but if that's the case, I'd rather have no localization at all.

@rainaaudron.bsky.social Raina, sorry to reach out on release day. I’ve encountered a major localization issue that may be related to font handling for Asian languages.

Deus Ex was officially released in China in 2001, distributed by “北京新天地” (who brought many Eidos titles to China), but without any translation or localization.

Unfortunately, the fan-translated version is incompatible with the kentie's exe. However, it's good news that by following kentie's modification method, we've fixed the subtitle display for cutscenes at 1920x1080 resolution. #DeusEx

As far as I know, most of Aspyr's localization work is done using AI/LLM, so I can already foresee that the Deus Ex Remastered release will be a flop.

I recommend you verify this as well. Below are some discrepancies I've identified:

Hello, sorry to bother you again, but I need some help. I can't find where the text is located here.😭But I realize you've completed this. I couldn't find the corresponding text in Deusex.ini. The only thing I found was in the Augmentation section, but it didn't work.

But now I stumbled upon your project and successfully located the missing text using your files (though it's encrypted, it's sufficient). I just wanted to come here to say thank you.😘

Hello, I hope this message isn’t too abrupt. We are members of the Deus Ex Chinese Fan Translation Project. While translating game files, we encountered an issue: some text is hardcoded within the map files, but the unpack tool cannot fully export this text.

For Lore, where the text should be as rigorous as possible, this is not a good option.

OMG, they translated Retreat in The Lost Levels as "withdraw" Lmao.

I haven't checked all the texts yet, but I apparently found a translation error where they translated Melchiah's "Do you believe for a moment that our Lord would risk his empire upon an upstart inheritance?" into "Do you really believe that our master will entrust his empire to the new forces?"

What will the official localization look like? I'm very curious. #SoulReaver #LegacyofKain

I've been interested in Indiana Jones game, but I've purchased so many games this year that I've been forced to use GamePass to get into this one.

I just found out that besides the painting in Lara's house, the Melchahim Symbol appeared in Tibet! OMG, Is this a world crossing or an invasion?😂 I think @rainaaudron.bsky.social foreshadowed the existence of SR remastered in her way! Like the coordinates of Giza!
