It’s 13 years to the day since I retired. I was 56. The time has literally flown & my advice to everyone is to retire at the earliest opportunity. We weren’t put here to work until we drop & money isn’t everything. Health & fitness are the most important & you need both to fully enjoy retirement 1/2

I just read the Premier League statement about the scope & scale of Manchester City’s cheating. They shouldn’t be relegated to Division 2. They should be kicked out of football. If any of their deluded fans still think they haven’t done anything wrong, they are as bad as the club they support.

This guilty verdict for 115FC should result in a 10 point deduction for every season they cheated AND compensation for teams that were relegated who dropped crucial points against them. They can start by awarding us the title that was decided by this.

This is a bad idea in a number of ways. Apart from the risk of dickheads throwing their pint in the air when a goal is scored. Imagine someone having a pint in a plastic glass when a goal is scored in a big game. If that person was stood behind you, you’d probably end up with it down your neck.

Interesting that when he came on, Gravenberch was told to go and play in the #10. Even though MacAllister is better in that position AND poses a goal threat. The manager clearly preferred the Argentinian and Nyoni to play the DM role. Doesn’t bode well for the Dutchman’s future with us.

4-2-3-1 with Nyoni & MacAllister as the 2, and Szoboszlai as the 10, with Macca getting forward to support the attack and add a few goals seems to me to be the way forward right now. Wirtz & Gravenberch aren’t doing enough, either creatively or defensively, to warrant a start right now.

Worm casts are the Bane of my life at this time of year. Worms are good for a lawn providing several benefits BUT on an ornamental lawn they make a mess & spoil the appearance. As soon as temperatures start to drop it becomes a daily task removing the little piles of soil which reappear every night.

Nyoni staked his claim for a start in the DM position last night. He played well, understood the role and was disciplined. Our defensive solidity fell apart a bit after he was taken off. For me he’s got to start now ahead of Gravenberch who strays too far forward & has become a bit of a liability.

When Nyoni was on the pitch he sat in front and between the central defenders and he did it naturally. Now we haven’t got anyone doing that job. Our defensive mid now is anyone of Szob, Gravenberch or MacAllister who ever is nearest.
