Agree with all this. Total letdown. It's not open world just because the ceiling is transparent. You're still trapped in a dungeon, the wall texture just looks like city storefronts. None of the characters act like they have any urgency or agency in any part of the story. Dylan is a giant pissbaby.

I have thought about the dance club scene in Jacob's Ladder where he perceives everyone becoming crows all around him ever since I first saw it. I've replayed the bassline of that song in my mind countless times. What I remember is probably not even right, but it sure made a huge impression.
